Dave and Kathy's 50th Wedding Annivesary

Celebrating 50th wedding anniversaries with Families and Friends has been a tradition in our families that goes back at least four generations. The first party we know about was my great grandfather George Lambacher and his wife Barbara. George had come to the US from Germany as a 14 year old boy and served in the Ohio Volunteers during the Civil war. After the war he received a land grant and settled in Independence Ohio where their celebration was held.

Although the young deaths of both of my grandmothers prevented my grandparents from reaching 50 years, my parents Warren and Virginia Lambacher resurrected the tradition.

On Kathy's side her grandparents Francis and Alice Johnson and her parents Robert and Frances Llewelyn Marbry both celebrated theirs. She also had her Uncle Larry and Aunt Nancy celebrate their 50th as well.

Now it's our turn and we are really looking forward to it after waiting a year due to the pandemic.

Aloha!
